The Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government, Comrade Victor Enobakhare has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on rehabilitation of Uwelu Road in Benin City.
Comrade Enobakhare, who stated this while inspecting the project assured that the rehabilitation work, would be completed in no distance time.
Inspecting the project, the chairman Egor Local government, Comrade Victor Enobakhare identified the lack of drainage system on ogida road as the major reason for heavy flooding on uwelu road.
He said that the erosion would be re-channeled to Siluko road drainage system.
The local government boss however, urged residents in the area to complement the effort of the state government by clearing their drains regularly and desist from dumping refuse directly into drainage channels.
Some residents of uwelu area who were full of excitement, thanked the local government chairman for embarking on the rehabilitation project, they said that the intervention was timely.
Comrade Enobakhare was accompanied on the inspection by Egor vigilante chairman, Isaac Emokpae and some aids.
